A five-hour artistic experience limited to just three participants.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of encaustic and discover how wax can layer, bury, reveal, transform, and create depth within the surface.

In the intimacy of a very small group, you’ll receive personalized guidance and direct access to the artist. Dorian will introduce you to her intuitive, contemporary approach to encaustic, encouraging you to experiment and discover rather than simply reproduce techniques.

You’ll explore:

-wax, colour, and transparency

-fusing and the role of heat

-building layers

-scraping, incising, and revealing

-incorporating papers and other materials

-creating depth and atmosphere

-the relationship between what is visible and what remains hidden

All materials and equipment are provided.

Each participant will create several experimental studies as well as a personal finished work to take home.

Only 3 participants per workshop

This intentionally intimate format allows each participant to receive individual attention, close-up demonstrations, and meaningful guidance throughout their creative process.

No previous encaustic experience is required.

Come discover not only how to work with wax, but what wax can allow you to express.
